Do you want to enjoy a relaxed or an active holiday? You will find this in our bed & breakfast in Alfarnatejo, just 40 minutes from Málaga. Here you can enjoy the spectacular nature and culture combined with an active holiday in the countryside. We offer various hiking and mountain bike routes through this beautiful region, the Axarquia, often called the South of the Pyrenees. It is centrally located between the imperial cities Cordoba, Granada and Seville and the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea. You are welcome as guest in El Águila libre.

 El Aguila Libre is not just a bed & breakfast. Of course, if you are on vacation, you would like to have a comfortable stay and in El Aguila Libre you are exactly at the right place. We find your holiday and your rest very important. Besides that we can organize activities for you, including hiking, mountain biking, Spanish private lessons, a day skiing or a genuine flamenco evening.

Horses and donkeys are no longer in El Aguila Libre. The old path with the small pebbles is now part of the floor in the front room. El Aguila Libre still breathes the same atmosphere as two hundred years ago. The house currently has four guest rooms, each with its own style. But they also have much in common. All rooms breathe the warm atmosphere of our authentic inn, they are fully equipped to modern comfort and they have all that unforgettable view of the Pyrenees of the south.

Apart from the four guestsrooms, where you can relax and enjoy your holiday in Axarquía, El Aguila Libre offers also common rooms. Everything to make your stay comfortable and pleasant.

Downsstairs is the diningroom. This is a pleasant and cosy room, completely authentic, with the old tiles on the ground and the original ceiling with beams. During your breakfast or dinner you can make plans for the day, with all the informations that is available for you in this rooms. There are a lot of maps, guides, hiking- and mountainbike routes etc. You will also find games and music in this rooms, so you can enjoy your evenings here if you like.
In the diningroom is also our fridge, which is alsways filled with cool drinks. Take what ever you like, but please do write it on your bill. Just a matter of confidence. Of cource the ice cubes are on the house.
Besides the dining room there is a cozy spacious sitting area. Here is the stove for the colder winter evenings. Also this room is still totally in original state. Furthermore there is a TV and Internet service available.
