One of the most beautiful routes and one that is easy to make is the route that leads from the capital Málaga to Colmenar, through the Natural Park Montes de Málaga. Within 5 minutes from your departure you will be surrounded by a great forest of pines, oaks, cork ... (And you will also enjoy spectacular views of the city). It is an easy route because you can make the turn onto the motorway A-45 and back to Malaga in just 25 minutes.
From Olletas you take the Camino de Colmenar (A-7000) and which brings you directly on the right route. After passing the tunnels you can enjoy fantastic views of the city of Malaga and a little later you will arrive at the Fuente de la Reina (925 meters above sea level) where you can stop for a drink.

Continuing your way, you will see beautiful pictures of old houses in cork and reminisce farming ruins in the area. Although you are already at a considerable height, and in the heart of the mountains, you still can see the sea from some areas, allowing you to enjoy this wonderful contrast.
